Toyota and Nationwide Team Up and Offer Telematics Based Insurance
Nationwide Insurance has announced that they have partnered up with Toyota Insurance Management Solutions or aka (TIMS) offering telematics-based insurance policy that will help customers save on their current insurance premiums.
Between these two companies they’ve launching Tim’s bright Drive, it works like any other telematics-based insurance but to customers, they’re collecting Data for participating vehicles quit turn are offered discounts based on their driving habits. Freddy Toyota connected vehicle, the customer the times open Nationwide through this program can opt-in and automatically receive a 10% discount on their insurance premium through the smart Drive participation.
Another perk of being on this program is if they remain on this telematics-based program for 90 days they would also receive an additional percentage Savings of up to 40%.
Kirt Walker the CEO of Nationwide says: “Consumer expectations for insurance solutions that are fast, simple and add value continue to grow”. “Nationwide and Toyota believe that customers should benefit from their personal data. We are excited to partner on the introduction of a new solution that will make the process even easier.”
In addition to that, Will Nicklas the vice-president of TIMS says “The TIMS BrightDrive experience is exciting because it empowers Toyota drivers with driving data from their vehicle to obtain personalized auto insurance geared to how they drive”.
The cool thing about this program is that if a driver of a Toyota in this program need to claim for auto damage, they will be able to attain OEM parts from Toyota certified collision centers.
The Brightdrive program offered by TIMS is available in a few states as of now; which are available from participating dealers. You aren’t limited to just opting in through the dealer, you are able to do this by going to the Brightdrive website. Vehicles with the data communication module are eligible, this goes form years 2018 to 2020.
